Margaret Brown & myself have dedicated this to Connie Stuart as a small tribute to the work she did here, and in other churchyards, for the society. We first visited this one with her and indicated the general direction we would work. She then, over a few months transcribed all the upright stones. Margaret with Edna Cromarty and myself have since read all the flat stones and checked everything. My thanks to Margaret and Edna for their efforts and to Edna for the index. I have two images of Connie, first in Fyvie churchyard, as she sat writing on her little camping stool wrapped up in a stout winter jacket, bonnet and gloves. Second, when were in Culsalmond church- yard on a very hot and sunny day and she came to join us bringing ice cream. On our final visit, to clarify a few points, we were lucky enough to meet the minister, who invited us into the church where we were able to record the inscriptions there. With the help of Jervise Vol. II we have a translation of the Latin on the Leslie memorial. Sheila M. Spiers
