My thanks first and foremost to Margaret Brown who did a lot of hard work cleaning the flat stones in the first place, and then again on some of them when we were checking. Thanks also to Jean & Jim Shirer and Edna Cromtary who undertook the later update and final check. Margaret, Edna and myself were in the kirkyard doing a last check on various queries when we met Mr Cran, a member of the Church & a Society member, who invited us into the church where we were able to record the inscriptions there. Heather Joiner was intrigued by the inscription on stone 102 erected in memory of her gt.gt.grandparents. In the Aberdeen Journal she found a report of the railway accident which caused her gt.grandmother's death & wrote a most interesting article which we published in Journal 77, November 2000. Thanks to her we have been able to complete the names as the stone is now much worn.
