My thanks as usual, go to the No.1 Graveyard Gang:- Margaret Brown, Jean Cowper, Monica Anton and Anne Lowe. We were, however, joined by two more “addicts” here in Miss Connie Stuart and Mrs Doris Anton. The original four has grown to more often six or seven. The more the merrier! In June 1979 an afternoon in Leslie was organised to take the inscriptions whilst looking for a specific one (No.79). Some of the local members who took part in this must be wondering why Leslie has only just been published. I must apologise to them on behalf of the Society, because most of the work that was done had been mislaid. It was decided that it was probably quicker to start again, so this summer we have concentrated most of our efforts in this area. Not being members of the Society at that time we don’t know the individual people concerned, but we would like to say a big “thank you” to all of you for the initial ‘spadework’ as it made our cleaning a lot easier.
