My thanks go, as usual to Margaret Brown for her energy and commitment in cleaning and reading, particularly the flat stones, and for her assistance in checking. We both thank Miss Elizabeth McD. Weir, our next door neighbour, who joined us on our first visit here and did a great deal of the first reading. She enjoyed herself so much that I think she might well join us again in the future. This is a churchyard you have to look for, you don’t just “pass it on the way”. Off the South Deeside road it is at the end of a very narrow road and beside the river Dee, though you are not really aware of the river because of the trees. It is a large churchyard for a relatively small community, but the parish itself covers quite a wide area. Sheila M. Spiers
