Thanks go to the usual “Gang” – Margaret Brown, Jean & Jim Shirer - for their efforts. Monica Anton & Anne Lowe from Banff also helped us on our first visit. Our main thanks go to the Kirk Elders of Drumblade Church and to Mr. & Mrs John Wilson who live just at the back of the Churchyard, at Haughs of Corse. They came across to see what we were doing and to make sure we weren’t vandalizing the place, and were very interested in our activities. Through the efforts of Mr Wilson, who is an elder of the Church, we obtained the permission of the Kirk Session to copy some of their Registers. These are available only in the shop and are NOT for publication. We have the Register of Baptisms 1875-1899 and 1899-1966, also the Register of Proclamations of Marriage 1884-1925 and several Communion Rolls. This is a very pleasant Kirkyard, situated right on the edge of the Parish – across the other side of the road and you’re in Forgue. Some quite interesting stones too, the oldest being no 176 dated 1685. Sheila M.Spiers.
