This was started a few years ago by Gaffer 2 (Margaret Brown) and Gaffer 1 (Shiela M Spiers) being otherwise engaged that day. By 1995 we decided it was time to finish it off, so Margaret and I were regular visitors for a few weeks. It was a very hot and dry summer and as the ground dried out we were able to see the outlines of stones under the grass - these are marked on the plan with a dotted line, We shed a few pounds digging those out, reading them and wondering if there were enough spaces to put the turves into. Fortunately there were and when we'd finished you couldn't tell we'd been there - which is how it should be. We then treated ourselves to a deliciously thick Milk Shake at the local supermarket cafe on the way home.
