My thanks go to my colleagues Margaret Brown and to Jean & Jim Shirer for the original work on this graveyard. Marjorie & Sandy Edward completed the cross-check and special thanks must go to Sandy for his excellent plan of the first extension. Edna Cromarty dealt with the final queries before it headed for the publishers. Edna also did the index and wishes to thank Jean for help with checking this. Because of the huge number of entries for the surnames Christie, Lees & Masson, a request had been made by the Society Research Team when it was still in draft form in the shop for a breakdown index of these surnames. This we have compiled and we trust it will be helpful. The graveyard and chapel remains are on a very ancient site. There is a most interesting information board at the entrance as well as some fascinating stones in the cemetery – well worth a visit even for those not so interested in family history.
