My thanks as usual, to those tireless helpers Margaret Brown and Jean Cowper. Connie Stuart also joined us on two occasions and helped to speed thing up considerably. Thanks also to Jim Shirer who, with Jean managed to find a dry weekend when we were on holiday to get the typescript checked on site. The weather was our enemy in 1985, every weekend seemed to be the same – rain, rain and more rain. My special thank to Margaret Brown who did the final typing for me, which means we can get on a little faster now there are more of us in the field. It is hoped that we can get more groups working this year as well, so our output should increase. In response to many enquiries I have included a small location map. I hope this will help you find the churchyards on yours. They are drawn from O.S. maps which are on sale in any bookshop. Thank you for having patience with us, even though we are not on schedule. Happy Huntin’ Sheila M. Spiers REVISED EDITION In the 30 years since Chapel of Garioch and Logie Durno were first recorded, there have been over 100 changes, in the form of both new stones and additions to existing inscriptions. Jean Shirer, Heather Mitchell and Rhona Robertson have now recorded these, and the kirkyard plans have been revised.
