My ever faithful companions Dr Margaret Brown and Miss Jean Cowper get most of the accolade for this one though we were joined by Mrs Alena Bathie for one afternoon. My thanks to them all for this was a particularly awkward one. My thanks too to Mr Pirie, our present Chairman for remembering that he had a copy of the lair plan, without whcih the plan included in this docuement would be either non-existant or look very different. Even with the lair plan I found it a very difficult one to do. The stones themselves leave a lot to be desired, with the face on some of them being distinctly the worse for wear. The weather showed us very opposite faces too, the first weekend we were there the sun shone and we were almost without jackets, even though it was February. The next weekend there was a howling gale and winter was back with us. However, it takes a lot to stop us, and suitably clad in our survival suits we did an hours work. This is a pleasant churchyard, as most of them are, and with it's view out over the sea seems to be bigger than it really is. If yyou visit this one, whatever the weather, take a jacket with you becuase if the breeze is coming off the sea it will be chilly. Shiela M Spiers.
